It's difficult to convey the size of the "muralla" and the feeling of being there in a photograph. I was dumbfounded standing in front of the immense rock painting while this guy just appeared out of nowhere on a huge ox, shouting angrily at his friend somewhere in the distance. Everything was out of proportion and I was standing there with my camera, clicking away and saying to myself "es loco!"...
You might have already guessed from the name of the blog, but I'm going to tell you anyway. One cold, rainy night back in 1982, I woke up in the middle of the night and promised to myself with sleepy eyes and a wet blanket: One day, I want to start a blog where I put one photo from my life everyday for a year. Nevermind that blogs did not exist back then or that I was in the prime of my kindergarten years. Years passed and I decided to keep one promise in my life for a change about a month ago (which is relative to whenever you're reading this - so I keep deciding one month before whenever you're reading this). Here it is then. My pledge to take a photo everyday for a year. Whether with my Canon, Nokia, or camera obscura - wide, macro, tele, or paparazzi... I guess what I'm trying to do is this- I want to come back to this blog years later and say: Wow, what a stupid idea that was! I wonder what kind of a person I was to keep doing this for 365 days...
Fabulous image. You have such an eye for composition and life.
